As AI becomes more prolific and the use cases for AI expand, the demand for AI deployment at the edge will explode. This presentation will discuss how industry plans to address these edge AI challenges.
Bio
Dan Flynn is the President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Accipiter Systems, bringing extensive entrepreneurial and industry experience in building, leading, and managing teams, as well as guiding innovative technology through all critical life cycle phases.
Under his leadership, Accipiter has been at the forefront of designing, implementing,and testing high-end networking technology for over 20 years, working with the Department of Defense performing research and development to solve complex data challenges at the edge, which has required the company to pivot numerous times since inception to find technologies that can technically and economically succeed. Accipiter Systems has partnered with more than ten DoD agencies and now looks to expand its most recent, high-performance networking solutions it has identified into commercial AI and simulation applications at the edge.
Before founding Accipiter, Dan served as Director of Engineering at Marconi Communications, leading the Enterprise Product Group. Prior to that, he envisioned and managed the Switch Control Processor Group at FORE Systems. His career began at Goodyear Aerospace/Loral, where he played a key role in designing and building supercomputer systems.
Dan donates his time working in the region supporting economic development to help other startups grow. Dan holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University.
